Position:

Sample Librarian at Scalamandré Fabric in Stamford, CT

Responsibilities:

• Follow up with sample requests and fabric cuttings
• Enter memo orders, conduct stock and price checks
• Greet clients positively and discuss their project needs
• Maintain, organize, and update labels in the memo/sample department
• Update and rearrange showroom displays with minimal supervision
• Answer showroom phone calls
• Open and unpack packages received in the showroom
• Keep the showroom clean and organized (dusting, organization)

Requirements:

• Higher education in interior design, textiles, or related field preferred
• Passion for design and color
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Office
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email
• Proactive and self-motivated work approach
• Willingness to learn about Scalamandré’s brands and products
• Ability to access memo shelves via a stepladder
• Ability to lift at least 15 lbs
