Job summary

Dexian seeks a detail-oriented Sample Logistics Associate to support shipping and GLP sample management in Missouri. You will prepare sample orders, attach SDSs, and ensure shipping per IATA/DOT regulations.

You will scan and file documents, assist with international shipments, and maintain GLP inventories and SDS archives. Responsibilities include inventory reconciliation, receiving packages, and maintaining safety and process compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sample orders for shipping and attach SDSs.

• Receive packages for Sample Logistics and keep records up to date.
• Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples and oversee the restricted GLP cage area.
• Apply labels and scan samples into inventory, following safety policies.
• Identify questionable test substances and consult the Sample Logistics manager.
• Maintain SDS filing and organize bulk inventory with proper labeling.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies for the team.

Job description

• Prepare Sample Orders for shipping and attach appropriate SDS(s).
• Scan each sample order and its samples for packaging into shipping container, complete the shipping process according to IATA and/or DOT regulations, and file the shipping documents.
• Assist in completing international shipments and communicating shipping details.
• Physically conduct and reconcile sample inventories (current, bulk and GLP) in Sample Logistics Applications and create Excel inventory reports.
• Responsible for receiving packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintaining accurate records for future references.
• Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples.
• Assist in overseeing the restricted GLP cage area where GLP samples are maintained and secured according to GLP regulations.
• Sub-filling sample containers adhering to all HSE, SDS and site safety policies. Apply FIFRA research sample labels, and stickers according to process orders. Scan samples into the inventory and complete process order.
• Ability to identify questionable test substances based on appearance and consult Sample Logistics manager.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) filing for the Sample Logistics Inventory, retrieving SDS from Global QHSE database, other Ag manufactures/supplier's databases.
• Maintain bulk inventory with appropriate labels, scan to physical location and place containers on appropriate shelves.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies in their designated areas for the Sample Logistics team.
• Assist the Sample Logistics team with other duties as requested.
• Comply with all IATA and DOT trainings.
• Report to and notify the designated Sample Logistics representative of any discrepancies with orders, computer and application problems, and other issues that may arise with the samples process.

Education Requirement(s):

• Minimum of an associate degree in a scientific field

Skill & Competency Requirements: (list 3 to 5 non-negotiable items such as years of experience, industry of preference, specific knowledge items, professional certifications, skills, abilities, etc.)

• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Capability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours) while performing tasks.
• Proficiency in conducting repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms.

Preferences:

• Experience in fast-paced and/or team-oriented environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and general lab procedures.
