Bureau Veritas is seeking a Retain Disposal Technician in Pasadena, TX, operating on an hourly pay scale of $16.00–$18.00. The role involves handling retained samples, maintaining cleanliness, and following disposal procedures in a laboratory setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience, and involves a rotating schedule including weekends and on-call availability. Health and safety compliance are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to employees in their work group.

Responsibilities

• Accumulate all samples designated for retain.
• Ensure lids are tight and containers are clean.
• Transport samples to the Retain Building and secure during transport.
• Maintain supplies of bottles and notify supervisor if restocking is needed.
• Keep Retain Building clean and dispose of broken bottles properly.
• Obtain disposal list and follow disposal procedures.
• Empty oily rag containers to prevent combustion.
• May pick up and deliver samples as assigned.
• Communicate with lab staff to promote empowerment and accountability.
