Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing in Midland, TX is seeking a Sample Control Technician to manage shipping, receiving, storing, and logging of samples in a fast-paced lab environment.

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Techncian to join our team! This position is expected to assist and oversee all the different aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and logging samples.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare samples from processing

• Accepts and signs for deliveries.

• Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck.

• Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around Sample Receiving area.

• Opens coolers and inspects contents of shipments. Checks documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for.

• Distributes samples in different departments as appropriate.

• Follows strict safety and quality control procedures.

• Stores, restocks, and shelves samples as necessary.

• Ensures that work area is clean and organized.

• Enters records in LIMS system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Ability and/ or Skills:

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

• Pays close attention to detail.

• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift and move heavy boxes received by the lab.

• Exhibits ability to use LIMS software competently.

• Possesses basic math skills.

• Works well with a team.

• Communicates clearly and effectively.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation Range: $19-21 / hour.
