Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare in Illinois is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide professional nursing care for SIH patients.

You will assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans with the multidisciplinary team, and document accurately in the medical record.

The role requires an IL RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS within 6 months of hire, and the ability to float to other SIH units as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
• Assess, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain optimal health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment with critical thinking to respond to changes in patient condition.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level.
