Position Responsibilities:

The Salus Lifestyle Coach maintains an organized and diverse program of activities to engage residents in cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual pursuits, promoting their potential and sense of usefulness.

  • Provide outstanding service to residents, families, and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and residents.
  • Conduct quarterly resident surveys and update activities accordingly.
  • Prepare and review a monthly Schedule of Activities, ensuring a full program seven days a week.
  • Coordinate activities with team members and participate in care planning.
  • Maintain records of activities and ensure visibility of schedules in communal areas.
  • Drive the community van as needed.
  • Manage resident birthday lists and mail cards timely.
  • Participate in community meetings and contribute to budgeting and staffing.
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate training, including dementia care.
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment and promote community values.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in recreation or related field, or two years of experience working with seniors.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
