Saltwater South, a McClatchy Content Innovation Lab brand, seeks a dynamic creator to lead as the Saltwater South Personality. You will craft vertical videos, guides and social-first content celebrating Gulf Coast living, from coastal cuisine to boating and outdoor adventures.

Lead with energy and authenticity, collaborate with creative teams, and grow a regional audience using data and AI insights while keeping human connection at the forefront.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the narrator and influencer for Saltwater South, building a loyal following across digital and social platforms.
• Dive into passion topics like Southern cuisine, golf, camping, backpacking, outdoor gear and seasonal events - connecting with audiences who live for these experiences.
• Share real stories, insider tips and fan-submitted moments, building a trusted roadmap for locals and visitors alike.
• Create and host engaging vertical videos, guides and social content that spotlight the best of boating, tidal fishing, inshore adventures and the coastal recreation lifestyle.
• Use data, audience signals and AI-powered insights to shape content that's timely, relevant and deeply rooted in the region's interests.
• Embrace experimentation, adapt quickly and bring a bold, fun and results-driven approach to every project.
• Experiment with new formats and platforms, always keeping authenticity at the center of every story.
