Job summary

The Post Oak in Stateline, NV is seeking a Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage seating, and handle reservations with a focus on the brand values of kindness, engagement, empathy and positivity.

You will assist servers, answer guest questions, and maintain a tidy, professional front-of-house environment. Prior experience is preferred but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Health card is required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have great people skills and a clean, well-groomed appearance.

• Assist with to-go orders.
• Assist with sorting, polishing and rolling up silverware.
• Completes special projects as requested by Food & Beverage management.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Host/Hostess to greet guests as the enter the outlet, take reservations if needed, show the guest to their table and provide menus. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train willing individual.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

Pay Range

USD $16.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr.
