Job summary

EisnerAmper in Chicago is seeking a Tax Director for our State & Local Tax team. You will lead multistate compliance and consulting, address residency, nexus and pass-through issues, and contribute to thought leadership and staff development.

The role offers work-life balance and a collaborative culture in a large, nationally recognized firm. CPA/EA/JD with 10+ years in state taxation and 5+ years of supervision are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• CPA, EA, or JD.
• 10+ years of experience in state taxation.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Multistate consulting and compliance services, including technical review of state and local tax returns and multistate issues.
• Residency issues.
• Sales tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studies.
• Audit defense.
• Research and writing.
• Due diligence.
• Coordinating with in-house tax professionals and clients.
• Reviewing pass-through entity issues including estimated payment, withholding and investor packages.
