You will advise high net worth individuals and families on residency planning, audits, and multistate income tax matters, working closely with Private Wealth and other tax professionals.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• 3 years of professional experience.
• License eligible for CPA, CMI, Law License/JD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor on state residency and domicile matters, including residency changes and related tax implications.
• Lead state residency and individual income tax audits and controversies, including responses to information requests and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Advise clients on multistate individual income tax matters, including sourcing, compensation, liquidity events, and credits for taxes paid to other jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Baker Tilly Private Wealth practice and other specialists to provide integrated advice.
• Research complex state tax issues and contribute to memoranda, client communications, and thought leadership.
