Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a State & Local Tax Intern to gain hands-on experience delivering tax advisory and compliance services. You will work with clients coast-to-coast under the guidance of experienced professionals, developing foundational SALT knowledge and client service skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Accounting or related business field. JD/LLM not required.
• No prior professional experience needed; interest in accounting or professional services preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in state and local taxation (SALT).
• Assist on projects including research and memorandum on SALT issues for individuals, corporations and pass-through entities.
• Support tax compliance tasks, M&A due diligence, voluntary disclosure programs, and other SALT matters.
