Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
CPA, EA, or JD
10+ years of Sales & Use Tax compliance and consulting experience.
5+ years of Vertex returns software (or similar software) experience
5+ years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Managing the Sales & Use Tax compliance process for clients’ Sales & Use Tax returns.
Sales & Use Tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studies.
Sales & Use Tax research projects.
Audit defense.
Research and writing.
Due diligence.
Coordinating and collaborating with other in-house tax professionals, as well as clients.
Researching and analyzing state tax legislation and the impact to clients.
Assisting with various tax consulting projects including research and writing projects related to tax planning, restructuring, and accounting for income taxes.
Managing firm resources including software.
