Cornerstone Church is seeking a Salt Company Male Resident in Ames, IA. This is a FULL-TIME staff role within the Cornerstone Salt Company ministry, reporting to the direct supervisor Tony Lee. The position focuses on biblical discipleship, student leadership, and ministry tasks as part of a church-based residency.

The role includes leading weekly D-Groups, meeting students weekly, and engaging in Cornerstone equipping and training opportunities to develop ministry life and service commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead students through 2 weekly D-Group (8-10 students)
• Meet a new student every Thursday night (515)
• Provide support to a minor team (e.g., Freshmen Team, Global Team, C-Group Team, Church Planting)
• Participate in Cornerstone Equipping Options & theological training
• Teach Gospel 101 class (Spring, if applicable)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Salt Company Male Resident - This is a FULL-TIME staff position.

MY TOP TEN

1. Grow as a disciple of Jesus (emotional, physical, and spiritual health)
2. Participate in all Salt & Cornerstone events & meetings
3. Be authentic & teachable in weekly staff discipleship
4. Meet a new student every Thursday night (515)
5. Meet with 6-7 students per week (at least half non-leaders)
6. Get 90% or better on the monthly leader name test
7. Raise and maintain $1500 of monthly financial support (each year these goals will likelyupdate - but these are the values for the previous year)
8. Participate in Cornerstone Equipping Options & theological training
9. Lead students through 2 weekly D-Group (8-10 students)
10. Provide support to a minor team (e.g., Freshmen Team, Global Team, C-Group Team, Church Planting)

WHEN MY TOP TEN ARE COMPLETE

• Teach a Gospel 101 class (at least in the Spring)
• *Only applies to 2nd year residents* Outside preaching/ministry assignments (in or out of network) - Aim for 2 in the Fall and in the Spring
• Serve/Attend Cornerstone ministry events (camps, conferences, classes, etc)
• Visit a network church or Salt Company - Max 1
• Salt Network Vision Trip
• Host or attend a student connection group

JOB EVALUATION

Your Job Description will be the basis of regular evaluation and coaching. Your direct supervisor will inspect what they expect from you as an employee.
