Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for a Sun–Thurs schedule, offering home daily on a dedicated frozen grocery shuttle. Expect about 5–10 shuttle runs daily with drop-and-hook, no-touch freight, and routes from East Granby yard in CT, supporting Westfield, MA facilities.

The position pays approximately $70,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus, around $1,400 weekly, and features a $0.50–$0.54 CPM pay structure.

Responsabilidades

• Operate automatic tractors with reefer trailers; slip-seat operation.
• Perform shuttle runs between Westfield, MA and relay yards in Milford, CT and West Haven, CT.
• Engage in drop-and-hook, no-touch shuttle freight; typically 5–10 runs per day (min 3).
• Assist with trailer moves, store transfers, and local backhauls as needed.
• May perform supermarket deliveries when required; not delivering in NYC.

CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver – Sun–Thurs | $70K + $5K Bonus

Earn approximately $70,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus on a dedicated frozen grocery shuttle account. Enjoy home daily, Sunday–Thursday scheduling, afternoon starts, and primarily drop-and-hook, no-touch freight.

Main Yard / Starting Location

• East Granby Yard
• 38 Russell Rd, Granby, CT
• Drivers start and finish each day at the East Granby yard
• Supports the Westfield, MA frozen grocery facility

Pay Details

• $70,000 average annual pay
• Approximately $1,400 average weekly pay
• $5,000 bonus
• $0.50–$0.54 CPM
• Approximately 500 miles per week

Job Details

• Dedicated frozen grocery shuttle account
• Shuttle reefer loads from Westfield, MA to relay yards in Milford, CT and West Haven, CT
• Drop & hook and no-touch shuttle freight
• Typically 5–10 shuttle runs per day, with a minimum of 3 required
• May handle trailer moves, store transfers, and local backhauls
• Shuttle drivers do not deliver in NYC
• Supermarket deliveries may be required as needed
• May assist intermodal and other local accounts
• Store deliveries may involve 2–3 stops and electric pallet jack unloading
• Occasional return product and backhaul pickups

Shift Details

• Home daily
• Sunday–Thursday
• Start time approximately 3:00 PM–4:00 PM
• 6th day required during mandatory holiday periods, potentially 3 consecutive weeks around holidays
• Holiday work required when scheduled and the account is operating
• Thanksgiving and Christmas listed as off; New Year's is not guaranteed

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor/trailer tires
• Strong customer service skills
• Must operate safely and legally at all times
• Willingness to assist with store deliveries and other account needs
