CDL-A Semi-Local Retail Driver – Good Pay | Frequent Home Time

Earn $85,000–$95,000 per year hauling no-touch retail freight on a dedicated semi-local account. Drivers typically spend about two nights on the road each week and receive frequent home time plus a 48-hour reset.

Job Details

Haul retail freight from a distribution center to retail stores throughout the assigned route network.
Handle no-touch freight and store returns.
Loads are preplanned, typically up to one week in advance.
Assemble and disassemble doubles equipment at pickup and delivery locations.
Work with specially equipped trucks designed for doubles operations.
Complete at least 3 days of training with an experienced driver mentor before solo dispatch.
Drivers may assist other dedicated accounts or intermodal operations during slower periods.
Account-specific shirts, hats, and required PPE are provided.
On-site management, driver recognition programs, and account appreciation events are available.

Shift Details

Typically begin the workweek Sunday evening and return early Friday morning.
Start times generally range from 5:00 PM–12:00 AM, depending on scheduled runs.
Loads are often ready between 11:00 AM–3:00 PM the day before delivery.
Drivers may choose to run their clocks primarily during the day but must remain flexible for nighttime operations.
Typically home a couple of times per week, plus a 48-hour weekend reset.
Average of approximately 2 nights on the road per week.
Weekend deliveries may be required, especially during September–December surge periods.
Truck may be taken home during time off if it does not affect the driver’s available hours.
