Job summary

Cost Cutters in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Salon Leader to run a busy salon. You’ll be a working stylist who leads a team, delivers high-quality guest experiences, and drives salon performance with support from local ownership and leadership training.

You’ll be paid on a leadership commission plan from day one, with a guaranteed hourly rate if commission is lower. This role requires evenings/weekends and a valid AZ cosmetology or barber license.

Qualifications

• Arizona cosmetology or barber license is required.
• 2+ years of full-time salon experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide cuts, color, and services as a working stylist.
• Lead, coach, and train your team.
• Hire and onboard new stylists.
• Build the schedule and manage labor to salon goals.
• Manage the salon budget and run a profitable operation.
• Drive service and retail sales.
• Maintain inventory and salon standards, including opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure every guest has a great experience.

TITLE: Salon Leader

Pay: $15.45/hour guaranteed, or commission if higher

Location: Cost Cutters, 120 S Houghton Rd, Ste 102, Tucson, AZ 85748

Schedule: Full-time. Evenings and weekends required.

Lead your own salon.

As Salon Leader, you run the salon. You're a working stylist who builds a strong team, delivers a great guest experience, and drives the salon's results. You'll have the support of local ownership and ongoing leadership training.

How you get paid

• Commission from day one, plus tips, on our leadership commission plan
• Guaranteed $15.45/hour if your commission comes in lower

What you need

• A current Arizona cosmetology or barber license
• 2+ years of full-time salon experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role (Assistant Salon Leader, lead stylist, or manager)
• Availability for evenings and weekends

Physical requirements

• Good close and color vision to assess hair
• Standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements; occasionally lifting 10 to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working around hair chemicals and fragrances
