Job summary

Yellowhammer Salon Group (YSG) is seeking a dynamic Salon Leader to oversee daily operations in our Walmart-based SmartStyle salons across Tennessee. You will lead a team, drive service quality, and deliver exceptional guest experiences while contributing to salon growth.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in beauty services, strong communication and time-management skills, and a passion for training staff and optimizing sales. Basic cosmetology licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Valid and current cosmetology license (required).
• Leadership experience in a salon or similar environment preferred.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the salon team to achieve sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while providing the full range of hair care services to clients.
• Consistently exhibit and develop technical competence.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
• Ensure the salon schedules meet the needs of the business.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote salon services and attract new clients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff.
• Train staff on best practices for customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Manage and control expenses.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service delivery in our salon.

As a Salon Leader

You will be responsible for delivering a range of hair services, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our salon. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction while driving sales and managing salon operations. Your expertise in various styling techniques and ability to connect with clients will help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Duties

Qualifications

• Valid and current cosmetology license. (Required)
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a salon or similar environment is preferred.

• A passion for the beauty industry and staying updated on trends and techniques.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and consistently perform quality services.
• A team player with strong leadership qualities.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace while demonstrating good judgment and time management skills.
• Communicate effectively with salon team, peers, supervisors, Wal‑Mart staff, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to read and analyze various salon reports.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (as needed).
• The position may require working alone in the salon.
