Sport Clips Haircuts is seeking passionate Cosmetology and Barber Students for their Student Internship Program in Olathe, KS. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule designed for students to learn and earn while in school.

Interns will provide exceptional customer service and assist with salon operations, including greeting clients, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory. The program includes ongoing training to prepare students for success in the beauty industry.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or salon coordination is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

Sport Clips is looking for Cosmetology and Barber Students who are passionate about Men's Hair to join our Student Internship Program! This part‑time, flexible schedule is designed for students in Cosmetology or Barbering school who want to learn and earn while still in school.

We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic student who will contribute to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth salon operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they walk in.
• Answer phone calls and address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including retail displays.
• Handle financial transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card payments.
• Assist in retail sales by providing product knowledge and recommendations.
• Monitor and maintain salon inventory and place orders for supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the salon team to ensure a smooth flow of operations from the reception area to the cutting floor.
• Complete secondary responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager such as vacuuming, cleaning stations, prepping stations, laundry, sanitation, and stocking.
• Assist in marketing efforts, including local neighborhood marketing, social media updates, and promotions.
• Participate in Sport Clips training – we prep you to feel confident behind the chair by the time you graduate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, receptionist, front desk, or salon coordination is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications, Microsoft Office, and basic social media platforms.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
