Sport Clips Haircuts in Apple Valley, MN is offering a Student Internship Program for Cosmetology or Barbering students. This part-time role is designed to learn and earn while you’re in school, with a flexible schedule and hands-on exposure to the beauty industry.

You’ll greet clients, support the reception, assist with retail, and participate in training to build confidence behind the chair as you prepare for graduation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software is expected.
• Familiarity with social media is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they walk in.
• Answer phone calls and address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including retail displays.
• Handle financial transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card payments.
• Assist in retail sales by providing product knowledge and recommendations to clients.
• Monitor and maintain salon inventory, placing orders for supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the salon team to ensure a smooth flow of operations from the reception area to the cutting floor.
• Complete secondary responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager, such as vacuuming, cleaning stations, prepping stations, laundry, sanitation, and stocking.
• Assist in marketing efforts, including local neighborhood marketing, social media updates, and promotions.
• Participate in Sport Clips training to build confidence behind the chair by the time you graduate.
