Job summary

Society Beauty Bar is seeking two full-time and one part-time Hairstylist Apprentice to join our Arlington and Belmont salons. This structured apprenticeship blends classroom concepts with hands-on mentorship, so you graduate as a confident, well-rounded stylist.

You'll assist seasoned stylists, gain real client experience in a high-end environment, and participate in ongoing trainings while supporting the team with daily salon duties.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in cosmetology program or licensed with exam date scheduled.
• Reliable, coachable, eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing techniques.
• Support the salon team with duties (laundry, sanitation, setup).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across workstations and tools.
• Participate in trainings and mentorship sessions.
• Greet clients, schedule appointments, rebook, and check guests out.
• Assist with inventory organization and retail tasks.
• Engage in mentoring opportunities to refine skills.

Society Beauty Bar is hiring 2 full-time and potentially 1 part-time hairstylist apprentices to join our team across our Arlington and Belmont locations.

We've built Society, a structured apprenticeship program combining foundational education (color theory, foil, balayage, cutting, layering) with hands-on mentorship - so you leave feeling confident and well-rounded behind the chair, not just thrown in.

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing techniques to ensure client satisfaction.
• Support the salon and the team (laundry, dishes, sweeping, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across workstations, tools, and salon areas to ensure a safe environment.
• Participate in trainings.
• Greet clients, schedule appointments, rebook, sell retail, and check guests out.
• Support store management tasks such as inventory organization and retail.
• Engage in mentoring opportunities with experienced stylists to refine your skills.

Requirements - Full-Time (2 Positions)

• Available to work at least 36 hours/week
• Currently enrolled in cosmetology school, licensed, or graduated with a scheduled license exam date
• Reliable, coachable, and eager to learn
