Lynker is seeking a PhD-level Quantitative Fisheries Scientist – Predation Modeling and Data Synthesis to support NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Center. The role involves compiling, organizing, and analyzing spatial and temporal datasets on salmon predation by birds, mammals, and invasive fish.

Qualifications

• Doctorate from an accredited university in a field related to the task order (fisheries, ecology, mathematics, statistics, etc.).
• Five+ years of experience related to the task order and familiarity with NOAA Fisheries West Coast species/habitats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience writing reports and peer‑reviewed articles.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze large-scale spatial and temporal datasets.
• Synthesize findings into technical reports and journal manuscripts.
• Present results at regional management meetings and scientific conferences.
• Develop reproducible workflows and document data pipelines.
