Job summary

SBS Acquisition Company LLC in Santa Barbara, California is hiring for a Bagging position. You will handle salmon fillets from the bagging table, perform a final quality check, and place fillets into vacuum bags for packaging to ensure presentation and safety.

This role supports a fast-paced production line, requires compliance with FSQMS, GMPs, and food safety rules, and teamwork with High Care and Production staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or production.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices.
• Experience with seafood, salmon, or other food products.
• Experience with packaging or production lines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive salmon fillets onto the bagging table.
• Inspect the appearance and overall condition of each fillet prior to bagging.
• Spread the fillet to ensure proper positioning and presentation.
• Check for skin on skin-on products and trim as needed.
• Perform a final visual quality check before bagging.
• Bag fillets and return to the bagging table for vacuum packing staff.
• Place fillets on the rack when preparing retail packs.
• Handle products carefully to maintain quality and prevent contamination.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Follow production procedures and safety requirements.
