Job Description

What is a Salesperson?

Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. Requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts. Must be able to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers. In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes is essential. Position can be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  2. Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
  3. Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
  4. Maintain store product and operational standards.
  5. Manage inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
  2. Assist with general stocking, truck stocking, and back stock.
  3. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.

Success Factors

  1. Basic driving and navigation skills.

What is a Store Driver?

Entry level store position supporting parts delivery to commercial customers. Responsible for delivering parts, assisting with inventory, and supporting store operations. Can be part-time or full-time. Must be fleet safety certified.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Safely deliver parts to customers.
  2. Pick and stage parts for orders.
  3. Handle returns and cores.
  4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  5. Collect credit accounts daily.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Maintain store cleanliness.
  2. Assist with stocking and back stock.

Physical Demands

Employees must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, and handle objects. Must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Requires good vision and the ability to perform physical tasks.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather conditions. Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. Moderate noise level typical.
