Job Description
Our sales professionals are responsible for selling vehicles and meeting dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. This position encompasses four main areas: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build business on customer satisfaction and dedicate efforts to guarantee it.
- Identify each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening attentively.
- Demonstrate vehicles, including test drives.
- Deliver vehicles to customers, explaining operating features, warranty, and paperwork to foster customer loyalty.
- Set personal income goals aligned with dealership standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Report to the Vehicle Sales Manager on objectives, activities, and performance reviews.
- Stay informed about new inventory, features, and accessories and their benefits to customers.
- Coordinate with the service department and body shop to ensure timely reconditioning of vehicles.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions offered by the dealership and manufacturer.
- Maintain a prospect development system.
- Implement an owner follow-up system to promote repeat and referral business.
- Regularly review and analyze sales activities to improve time management and planning.
- Stay updated on automotive terminology and technological advancements.
- Understand vehicle equity, values, and explain depreciation to customers.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws related to retail auto sales.
- Introduce customers to the service department to highlight quality and efficiency of repairs and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and report accidents immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
- Valid in-state driver’s license.
- Professional appearance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet sales quotas according to dealership standards.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
- Ability to perform duties safely and responsibly.
- Capability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver’s license.
