Job summary

Goodwill is seeking a Sales Person I to provide outstanding customer service, ring purchases accurately, and assist in store recovery, cleaning and merchandising. The role includes accepting donations, processing merchandise, and supporting production as needed.

The position emphasizes maintaining a clean, organized sales floor, safeguarding donated goods, and collaborating with management to address customer and donor needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent work experience or successful completion of a GISD employment program.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors; refer concerns to management.
• Accurately ring purchases and follow cash handling policies.
• Assist with processing and receiving donations and with production as needed.
• Display merchandise and maintain clean, safe sales floor; take inventory as directed.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides excellent customer service, rings transactions accurately, and assists in store recovery, cleaning and merchandising. Works to fill floor with new arrivals, and removal of merchandise. Accepts donations and assists with production as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions Statement(s):

• Provides excellent customer service to customers/donors. Refers to management any concerns or complaints.


• Accurately rings purchases and follows all cash handling policies and procedures. Maintains the sales floor safe, clean, and organized.


• Assists different areas of the store, such as processing and receiving donations. Safeguards company property, including donated goods.


• Places merchandise on display. Takes inventory of stock and pulls merchandise for transfer as directed by management, Sales II or Key Holder.


• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience for Sales Person I: Minimum of 6 months of recent work experience or successful completion of a GISD employment program.
