Job summary

Hacienda Home Centers, Inc. in Las Vegas, NM is seeking a Salesperson to greet customers, understand their needs, and guide them to merchandise that fits.

You will demonstrate products, maintain neat sales areas, ensure accurate tagging, handle returns, and assist with stock and special orders in a friendly, team-oriented environment. You will provide excellent service, upsell where appropriate, and learn product details to help customers make informed choices.

• Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
• Ability to anticipate customer’s needs.
• Ability to recommend merchandise to customer.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Ensures sales areas are kept neat, clean, dusted, and in the correct place.
• Ensures merchandise has proper tags and labeling.
• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, and places special orders.
• Ensures back stock is kept neat and orderly, checked, and stocked daily.
• Maintains end caps and rotates end cap merchandise regularly.
• Processes returns and exchanges.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
