The Salesforce Technical Manager is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. The candidate will lead a globally distributed development team, including offshore resources, and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with Topgolf’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Salesforce Operations team supporting Topgolf Event Sales Salesforce platform serving 1200+ users across 100+ venues in the US and UK.
- Manage and mentor a distributed Salesforce development team, focusing on offshore collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistent delivery.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into project plans and communicating solutions clearly.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee project progress, proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with developers, testers, and product owners to deliver high-quality features aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Design scalable, user-centric Salesforce solutions based on CRM principles and best practices, aligning with sales objectives.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Champion Agile methodologies and lead enterprise technology implementations.
- Ensure adherence to platform governance, coding standards, and CI/CD practices.
- Support integration efforts with platforms like POS, reservations, and loyalty programs using Mulesoft or similar.
- Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders to foster alignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years in the technology industry, preferably in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- 7–10 years of Salesforce experience, with expertise in platform customization, development, and architecture (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds, Marketing Cloud is a plus).
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, managing onshore and offshore teams.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions in Agile settings.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce development tools: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, LWC.
- Proficiency in declarative Salesforce features: Flows, Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Validation Rules.
- Understanding of Salesforce data model, security, sharing, and governance.
- Experience with integration tools like MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like Angular or React.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience in SOX-compliant and regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to build and mentor high-performing teams.
- Experience in B2C, hospitality, or entertainment industries is highly preferred.
- Passion for golf is highly preferred.
