Job Title: Salesforce Technical Journalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and driven Salesforce Technical Journalist to join our content team. This role blends technical expertise with strong storytelling skills to create compelling, informative content around Salesforce technologies, trends, and ecosystem developments. You’ll interview industry experts, cover product updates, explore use cases, and translate complex Salesforce topics into engaging articles, blogs, whitepapers, and multimedia content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write high-quality articles, blog posts, feature stories, and technical explainers focused on Salesforce technologies (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, Lightning, Flow, etc.).
  • Conduct interviews with Salesforce developers, admins, customers, partners, and executives to gather insights and firsthand perspectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, product releases, and Dreamforce/key event announcements to produce timely coverage and thought leadership pieces.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences including developers, architects, consultants, and business users.
  • Collaborate with product managers, solution engineers, and marketing teams to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with brand messaging.
  • Maintain a consistent editorial voice while adapting content tone for various formats and channels (e.g., blog, newsletter, LinkedIn, YouTube scripts).
  • Optimize content for SEO and engagement, using tools and analytics to inform strategy and improvement.
  • Stay current with updates across the Salesforce ecosystem, including Trailhead, AppExchange, and community developments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a technical journalist, content writer, or technology reporter with a strong portfolio, preferably in the Salesforce or CRM domain.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce architecture, terminology, and tools; certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer) are a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and interviewing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into digestible content.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, SEO principles, and social media platforms.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Background in journalism, communications, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience covering B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or developer communities.
  • Knowledge of AP style or similar editorial standards.
