An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of sophisticated enterprise solutions, with a particular emphasis on Agentforce and intelligent automation.

The role

This is a senior technical leadership position suited to someone who can operate across architecture, client advisory, presales and hands-on solution development.

You’ll take ownership throughout the project lifecycle, from early client engagement and technical discovery through to solution architecture, rapid prototyping, implementation and delivery.

Working closely with both clients and development teams, you’ll translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.

A major focus will be integrating Salesforce Agentforce and AI-powered workflows into enterprise environments, connecting intelligent agents with business systems, customer data and existing applications.

You’ll act as a trusted technical authority, helping clients make informed architectural decisions while ensuring delivery teams maintain high standards of quality, scalability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Technical leadership: Lead and mentor engineering and development teams delivering complex Salesforce implementations.
• Presales engagement: Support new business opportunities through RFP responses, technical scoping, effort estimation, demonstrations and client presentations.
• Solution architecture: Design enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions, particularly across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, following established architectural and integration best practices.
• Delivery ownership: Maintain oversight of technical project health, identifying risks, resolving blockers and coordinating stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
• Prototyping and UX: Use customer journey mapping, human-centred design and rapid MVP development to validate solutions and demonstrate business value.
• Agentforce implementation: Design and configure AI-driven workflows using Agent Builder, Prompt Builder and the Atlas Reasoning Engine, connecting agents to Salesforce Flows, Apex actions and external endpoints.
• AI and data integration: Build secure, context-aware AI solutions using Data Cloud (Data 360), vector indexing, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and the Einstein Trust Layer.
• Enterprise integration: Define scalable architectures using Salesforce APIs, event-driven integrations and connected platforms across the wider technology ecosystem.
• Innovation and thought leadership: Monitor emerging Salesforce capabilities and AI developments, identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes.
• Delivery governance: Establish architectural standards, support Agile delivery practices and ensure teams work to clear functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking an accomplished Salesforce professional who combines deep architectural expertise with commercial awareness, strong communication skills and a practical approach to solving complex business problems.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 10+ years of enterprise experience in Salesforce Solution Architecture, Lead Business Analysis or CRM Product Management, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Experience working within complex B2B environments, particularly manufacturing, distribution or industrial businesses with multiple entities, sophisticated customer structures and customised pricing or quoting requirements.
• Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce Agentforce, including Agent Builder, Prompt Builder and the Atlas Reasoning Engine.
• Proven ability to connect AI agents to Salesforce Flows, Apex and external REST APIs or MuleSoft integrations to enable automated workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Data Cloud (Data 360), vector indexing, RAG and secure AI grounding using the Einstein Trust Layer.
• Experience with human-centred solution design, UX journey mapping and rapid prototyping to validate technical concepts.
• A thorough understanding of enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub API, identity and single sign-on (SSO), and large data volume (LDV) management.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with wider enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Snowflake and MuleSoft.
• Relevant Salesforce architecture credentials, such as Application Architect or System Architect certifications, alongside specialist credentials in areas including Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud/CPQ or Platform Developer II.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies, producing functional design documentation and defining measurable acceptance criteria.

Recognition within the Salesforce ecosystem, such as Salesforce MVP status or Agentblazer Champion/Legend achievement, would be an advantage.
