Position Summary

Securian Financial Group’s internal position title for this role is Engineering Sr Analyst. Position Summary: Do you enjoy solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and delivering solutions that create business value? MarTech Engineering is looking for a highly collaborative engineer to help evolve our marketing technology ecosystem, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, designing technical solutions, and delivering capabilities that enhance customer engagement, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support business-critical technology solutions that enable key business capabilities.
• Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance vendor platforms, custom applications, and system integrations.
• Lead technical analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support activities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions to improve business outcomes and platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while promoting system stability, security, and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and engineering best practices.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Partners with Product Owner on assignments to deliver results with a high degree of accountability and independence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in SQL, AMPScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Desire to utilize / develop consultative skills to assist our marketers.
• Strong ability to learn and a desire to succeed.
• Desire to learn about marketing and marketing technologies between multiple business lines.
• Ability to speak to both marketing as well as technical associates.
• Works well in a team agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Experience utilizing SAAS solutions.

Work Arrangement

This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. Associates get the benefit of working both virtually and in our offices. If you’re in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you’ll join us 3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules.

Estimated Base Pay Range

The estimated base pay range for this job is: $72,000.00 - $134,000.00 Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
