Lead hands-on Salesforce engineering while developing toward an Architect-level role. This position owns technical delivery for a Salesforce workstream, makes sound design decisions, mentors developers, participates in architecture discussions, and remains deeply hands-on with Apex, LWC, integrations, automation, and platform engineering. The role is expected to lead the technical delivery, not simply review code.

- Strong collaboration skills across business, product, architecture, development, QA, DevOps, and delivery teams.
- Professional, proactive, and accountable approach to delivery, issue resolution, and stakeholder commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery of Salesforce features and workstreams from solution design through deployment and production support.
- Translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable Salesforce technical solutions.
- Design and implement complex solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL/SOSL, platform events, and Salesforce configuration.
- Remain hands-on in development and personally deliver complex or high-risk technical components.
- Define technical approaches, design patterns, data models, integration patterns, error-handling strategies, and non-functional requirements.
- Partner with Salesforce Solution/Technical Architects and actively develop the skills and experience required for an Architect role.
- Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, solution walkthroughs, and engineering discussions.
- Mentor developers, raise engineering standards, and provide technical guidance on complex issues.
- Design and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, Platform Events, CDC, and other appropriate Salesforce patterns.
- Ensure solutions are bulk-safe, governor-limit compliant, secure, performant, and scalable.
- Support CI/CD, Salesforce DX, Git-based development, automated testing, deployment readiness, and environment consistency.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and Project Managers to ensure technical delivery aligns with business commitments.
- Communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, release planning, technical documentation, and continuous engineering improvement.
Required Skills & Experience

- Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and release/deployment processes.
- Ability to lead a development team while continuing to contribute hands-on code.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, mentoring, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
