Job description

Salesforce Engineer - Field Service, Kuiper Commercial Revenue Operations

Project Kuiper aims to expand global broadband access via a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

The Kuiper CRO team manages business strategy, customer experience, product management, and system development for Kuiper’s enterprise solutions.

Role Overview

As a Salesforce Engineer, you will design, architect, and implement field service solutions on the Salesforce platform. You should have expertise in technologies like Omniscript, Order Management, Order Orchestration, Field Service Management, Service Cloud, and APEX. You will collaborate with product managers, technical program managers, engineering managers, and software engineers to develop technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with product managers to design business workflows for quote, contract, order management, and orchestration, and produce related design artifacts.
  2. Implement solutions using APEX, Field Service Management, Service Cloud, Order Management, and Orchestration.
  3. Deploy solutions following DevOps practices and enterprise security standards.
  4. Monitor middleware performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
  5. Partner with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance.
  6. Develop and review Apex code supporting complex business logic and integrations; serve as technical lead and architect.
  7. Mentor entry and mid-level engineers.

About the Team

The CRO team drives business strategy, product management, customer adoption, system development, and operations for Kuiper's commercial business.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with CPQ, Order Management, and Orchestration.
  • Experience deploying solutions with SFDX, Copado, Gearset.
  • Knowledge of source control systems like Git.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning, triggers, batch Apex, APIs).
  • Experience designing or architecting systems for reliability and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing Salesforce communications.
  • Experience in large-scale telecommunications implementations.
