Job summary

The Coleman Group, Inc. is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join a dedicated team in Annapolis, MD. You will handle data migration/integration, data quality, systems integration, and custom code development in a higher education and military setting.

Initial two weeks of full on-site training with eligibility for a hybrid schedule afterward, requiring a regular on-site presence of at least 3 days per week. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/SE/MIS or related field.
• 5+ years development experience with Salesforce (Certified Developer preferred).
• Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes/triggers.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle relational databases.
• History of Salesforce migration/integration projects.
• Business analysis and requirements gathering experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical implementation of Salesforce permission sets, data flows, APEX coding.
• Developing in Visualforce, APEX, and related technologies for a student information system in education and military environments.
• Provide technical leadership, best practices for integration, deployment, testing, and refinement.
• Define and manage change management (release) processes for new apps/code and updates.
• Adhere to standards and policies within the Client's Division.

Job description

The Salesforce Developer position will work within a team of Salesforce Developers, Salesforce Admins, Configuration Managers, and various organizational units. This position will be responsible for the technical aspects of Salesforce, including data migration/integration, data quality, systems integration, and custom code.

• Must work on-site in Annapolis, MD:
  • Initial two week full onsite training period.
  • Eligible for a hybrid schedule after the initial training period, but a regular weekly onsite presence of at least 3 days per week in Annapolis is required.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (Contract Requirement)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Technical implementation of Salesforce permission sets, data flows, APEX custom coding.
• Responsible for developing in Visualforce, APEX, and other technologies to build custom code to build a student information system in a higher education and military environment.
• Technical leadership, following best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement.
• Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code.
• Following standards and policies set forth within the Client's Division.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years previous development experience with Salesforce (Certified Salesforce Developer strongly preferred).
• Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce architecture and API.
• Detailed experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong understanding of Oracle relational databases.
• Demonstrative success with multiple Salesforce migration/integration projects.
• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both customers, leadership, and technical teams.
• Experience with customization.

The wage range for this role factors the wide range of issues that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to training, experience, certifications, licenses, and other organizational and business needs. At Coleman, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000 to $145,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a Coleman discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Salesforce Developer Schedule

• Onsite Annapolis Maryland (Eligible for a Hybrid Schedule - 2 days remote and 3 days onsite per week after a twoweek fully onsite training period)
