Base pay range

$66.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Responsibilities

The position provides technical development for the Digital Transformation initiatives within MyCatFinancial, Mobile Quote Application, and Salesforce Sales & Service modules. This role involves delivering digital solutions to enhance customer experience, primarily focusing on Salesforce development (90%), with minimal admin work. The candidate will work closely with the business tech team to gather requirements, convert them into technical designs, and develop/deploy responsive web solutions supporting Caterpillar Financial's strategic initiatives, including Aftermarket, Digital, and Connectivity.

Key responsibilities include working with Salesforce Lightning components, Apex, REST API, and mobile frameworks like Ionic and Angular. The role requires a strong developer with certifications such as Platform Developer II, and experience in Apex development, Salesforce integrations, and security best practices. Soft skills like communication, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration are essential.

Ideal Candidate Experience/Skills

• Proven ability in Lightning development, including custom components/controllers
• Experience deploying mobile apps, preferably using Ionic framework and web components
• Knowledge of Angular framework
• Object-oriented programming skills
• Experience building mobile-responsive sites
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred)
• 5+ years Salesforce development experience, including Apex, SOQL, DataLoader API, VisualForce, ANT migration tools
• Salesforce integration and security best practices knowledge
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business partners

Typical Day

Core hours are 9:00-5:00, with a mix of individual work and daily meetings. On-call hours may be required.

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Salesforce Certified, Platform Developer II

Technical Skills

5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning, SOQL, DataLoader API, and Salesforce administration. Experience with VisualForce, ANT, and Salesforce integration is preferred. Familiarity with security best practices is a differentiator.

Soft Skills

Ability to work closely with a team, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
