Job summary

UCLA Health seeks a Salesforce Application Programmer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise Salesforce apps that improve patient, provider, and staff experiences in a major health system.

The role blends remote and on-site work in a hybrid setup, with quarterly on-site presence. You’ll work across Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, using declarative and custom development.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Salesforce platform apps including Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Data Cloud.
• Technical skills: Salesforce declarative configuration, Apex development, Lightning Web Components (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and SOQL/SQL.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR and DICOM standards.
• Understanding REST/SOAP, JSON, YAML, OAuth/JWT and SWAGGER; proficient with tools like VS Code, Git/Github, Jenkins/Github Actions, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Broad knowledge of application lifecycles including design, development, testing, maintenance, and training.

In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance enterprise Salesforce applications, partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centered solutions. You'll work across a modern Salesforce ecosystem that includes Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, leveraging both declarative and custom development approaches.

What You'll Bring

• Experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Data Cloud.
• Strong technical skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SOQL/SQL, and APIs.
• Knowledge of integration standards such as REST, SOAP, JSON, OAuth, HL7, and FHIR.
• Experience with modern development tools including Git, GitHub, VS Code, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible application development experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on a quarterly basis at the minimum or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $98,200 - $214,600 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

• Technical Skills required include but are not limited to: Salesforce declarative configuration and set-up, Salesforce Apex development, Lightning Web Component Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and SOQL/SQL.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR and DICOM Standards
• Understanding and learning other programming languages may be necessary.
• Tooling skills include but are not limited to: Visual Studio Code, Git/Github, Jenkins/Github Actions, Jira, and Servicenow.
• The candidate should understand Object Oriented Programming and standards such as but not limited to REST/SOAP, JSON, YAML, oAuth/JWT and SWAGGER.
• Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialty areas.Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
• Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision-making.
• Must be detail oriented and have a knack for probing for information, in order to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how a system should be configured/ organized.
