Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class Salesforce apps and Tableau dashboards. You will code Apex, create Lightning components and Visualforce, and deliver scalable CRM solutions.

Collaborate with business analysts and admins to implement data insights and integrations that drive key decisions. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years Salesforce experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying data.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
• Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce extending Salesforce capabilities to support our business requirements.
• With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and set a realistic schedule for development.
• Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal proprietary and third-party services.
• Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
• Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
• Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling, and refreshes.
