Job Description:

The Client is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support its mission-critical child welfare applications and the development of the next-generation.

The selected candidate will work with the DCF Information Systems team and the System Integrator to support existing custom Salesforce applications, participate in the development lifecycle of the new CT-KIND system, and ensure effective knowledge transfer and ongoing application maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Pages, and Visualforce.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, Salesforce design patterns, and best development practices.
• Develop and configure Salesforce solutions using SOQL, CRUD operations, and custom components.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and develop application integration solutions.
• Support existing Salesforce applications and contribute to the development of the new CT-KIND system.
• Collaborate with the System Integrator to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure ongoing solution maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Independently drive development activities from requirements through implementation.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall professional IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Apex programming and OOP concepts.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce design patterns and application architecture.
• Experience with Lightning Pages and Visualforce Pages.
• Strong knowledge of SOQL, CRUD operations, and Salesforce configuration.
• Experience with .NET, OOP, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Strong SQL and end-to-end web development experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and abstract thinking skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and mentor less experienced developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with application integration and complex SDLC environments.
• Public sector or healthcare/social services application experience.
