We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Deployment Manager to lead our deployment strategy and execution through our CI/CD pipeline built on GitHub Actions. This role is critical to ensuring smooth, predictable, and frequent deployments of Salesforce components across various environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Salesforce deployments, a proven track record with automated deployment tools and processes (specifically GitHub Actions), and valuable experience deploying solutions relevant to the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

* CI/CD Pipeline Management: Own, maintain, and enhance the Salesforce CI/CD pipeline utilizing GitHub Actions for automated builds, testing, and deployments across sandbox, staging, UAT, and production environments.

* Deployment Strategy & Execution: Define, document, and implement best practices for Salesforce deployments, including change sets, Metadata API, SFDX, and unlocked packages, within the CI/CD framework.

* Release Management: Collaborate with development, testing, and release management teams to plan and execute seamless Salesforce releases, ensuring minimal disruption and high quality.

* Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve deployment issues promptly, working closely with development and technical teams.

* Version Control & Branching Strategy: Enforce and optimize the use of Git and GitHub for source code control, including defining and managing branching strategies aligned with the CI/CD process.

* Environment Management: Oversee and manage Salesforce environments, ensuring consistency and readiness for deployments.

* Public Sector Component Deployment: Demonstrate experience and understanding in deploying Salesforce components specific to public sector solutions (e.g., Government Cloud, specific public sector data models, compliance requirements related to public sector data).

* Automation & Tooling: Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and techniques to improve the efficiency and reliability of the deployment process.

* Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment processes, pipeline configurations, and best practices. Share knowledge and train team members on deployment procedures.

* Compliance & Security: Ensure deployment processes adhere to organizational security policies and compliance requirements relevant to public sector data.

Required Skills and Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, administration, or a related technical role with a strong focus on deployments.

* 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Salesforce deployments through automated CI/CD pipelines.

* Demonstrated expertise in configuring and managing CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions for Salesforce.

* Proficiency with Salesforce DX (SFDX) and the Salesforce Metadata API.

* Strong understanding of Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and pull requests.

* Experience with various Salesforce deployment methodologies (change sets, ANT, SFDX, unlocked packages).

* Proven experience deploying Salesforce solutions within the public sector, including familiarity with relevant components, data security considerations, and compliance standards.

* Experience with scripting languages relevant to automation (e.g., Shell, Python).

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform Developer, or others related to deployment/release management) are a strong plus.

Bonus Points:

* Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) for comparison and context.

* Familiarity with static code analysis and testing automation tools integrated into the pipeline.

* Experience with Salesforce Shield or other security features relevant to public sector deployments.
