Job summary

Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is seeking a Database Specialist in Warrenton, VA to manage PEC’s Salesforce-driven central database and integrated systems. You will ensure data integrity, automate processes, and support donor, event, and volunteer tracking for leadership reporting.

The role partners with management to optimize workflows and user adoption, with a focus on reliable data and scalable reporting. This is a full-time, non-exempt position on a hybrid schedule near Warrenton.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience working with Salesforce.
• Attention to detail with a thorough and meticulous approach for accuracy.
• Proactive in driving independent solutions with strong research and problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse staff.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage projects.
• Understand Salesforce integrations and basic configuration.
• Ability to develop and build interactive dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Chief of Staff and manage essential functions within PEC’s database environments.
• Configure accounts, permission sets, profiles and roles for users.
• Maintain data integrity and automate business processes.
• Create and manage reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Oversee data quality, backups and weekly health checks.
• Troubleshoot user issues and document procedures for staff training.
