Data Migration Consultant

DURATION: 4 month contract

Location: Remote

help with BA requirement gathering, SF Data , process jorneys, etc.

• Fill out mapping for SF Instances, and understand where they tie together, collapse into different field
• Journey owners not good at finding those things
• Turn over data transformation to more technical ETL team, that does that part of the puzzle
• What they are looking from a consultant/BA role
• Problem with last migration – brought in at last minute, in the last mile, need to bring this resource early on right from the start
• Needs to see how those mappings come together during that time, package user stories and give to ETL teams, if they come to the determination and they are missing things in the mappings and need to move forward, will be a possibility with extension
  
  

Salesforce Data Migration Specialist

• Knowledge of relational data models, specifically the Salesforce data model
• Has good understanding of basic operational business processes
  
  

Experience With Data Migration Activities Including

• Gathering migration scope and requirements from business stakeholders
• Mapping fields and picklist values between source and target data models
• Documenting transformation logic, as needed (based on business requirements)
• Constructing load sequences that preserve the relationships between migrated data objects
• Applying logical mappings and transformation logic to an ETL tool
• Experience with using Informatica for ETL activities and has ability to review and update Informatica tasks without much direction as business requirements change
• Can support an existing data migration scrum team by resolving ETL errors and open questions
• Can interface with both business and technical stakeholders without much support
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Ability to use Agile management software to document and work user stories to completion
• Ability to operate primarily within US business hours
