Summary: The CPQ Data Migration Specialist will be responsible for defining and overseeing the data migration strategy for Salesforce CPQ implementations. This includes source system analysis, mapping, transformation logic, and load sequencing to ensure data integrity across all CPQ objects.
Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end CPQ data migration strategy (Accounts, Products, Price Books, Quotes, Contracts, etc.).
Perform data profiling and gap analysis on source systems.
Create data mapping documents between legacy systems and Salesforce CPQ.
Design data transformation and validation logic using ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, MuleSoft).
Oversee data extraction, cleansing, and loading activities across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
Coordinate sample and mock data migrations to validate accuracy and performance.
Define data reconciliation and post-load validation processes.
Work closely with functional and QA teams to align data quality with business needs.
Qualifications:
Overall 10+ years of experience in Salesforce
6+ years of experience in data migration with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce CPQ.
Deep understanding of CPQ data structures and relationships.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (preferably Talend or Informatica).
Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader, Workbench, or other data manipulation tools.
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of JSON/XML formats.
Prior experience in subscription management or quote-to-cash systems is a plus
