Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Customization
  • Define and govern enterprise Salesforce architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom platform applications—ensuring scalability, security, multi-org coherence, and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead complex Salesforce customization efforts including Apex frameworks, LWC component libraries, advanced Flow orchestration, and platform event‑driven architecture.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, DevOps best practices, and CI/CD pipelines via Salesforce DX, Git, and release management tooling.
  • Drive architecture reviews, technical grooming, and platform health assessments across delivery teams and vendor partners.
  • Own the Salesforce platform roadmap and align it to Client's IT strategic goals, operational priorities, and AI‑enabled delivery models.
Integration Engineering
  • Architect and govern end‑to‑end integrations connecting Salesforce to enterprise systems including MuleSoft, Documentum, Excalibur, SAP, GIS/ESRI, and legacy platforms.
  • Define integration contracts, error handling frameworks, retry/resilience patterns, and middleware orchestration strategies for real‑time and batch integration scenarios.
  • Lead integration solutioning for complex, multi‑system workflows spanning case management, document handling, and regulated utility operations.
  • Collaborate with MuleSoft Architects to evaluate, design, and harden integration layers supporting mission‑critical business processes.
  • Guide REST/SOAP API design, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and event‑driven patterns across multi‑vendor delivery teams.
Data Engineering
  • Own and drive Salesforce data architecture including data modeling, object relationships, schema governance, and master data management across multi‑org environments.
  • Lead data migration strategies from legacy platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) to Salesforce—including transformation logic, validation frameworks, reconciliation protocols, and cutover planning.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Salesforce Data Cloud teams to design scalable data pipelines, harmonize data structures, and ensure enterprise‑wide data integrity.
  • Define and enforce data quality rules, deduplication strategies, and audit‑ready data lineage standards aligned with NERC and utility‑sector compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate and guide adoption decisions between custom EDP approaches and Salesforce Data Cloud, presenting trade‑offs with executive‑level clarity.
Generative AI & Agentic AI Delivery
  • Leverage Agentic AI platforms (Windsurf, Devin, or equivalent) daily for solution design, accelerated story creation, code generation, test automation, and technical documentation.
  • Apply and champion prompt engineering best practices—iterative prompting, session scoping, output peer review, and token management—to ensure AI output quality and delivery completeness.
  • Architect and integrate Salesforce Einstein AI, Agentforce, and GenAI‑enabled flows into case management, portal, and enterprise automation workflows.
  • Lead AI‑augmented SDLC practices at the platform level, establishing guardrails, quality gates, and responsible AI usage standards for the broader delivery team.
  • Drive and measure AI efficiency benchmarks including development velocity gains, BA/QA effort reduction, sprint throughput improvements, and labor cost optimization.
  • Contribute to Client's AI‑first delivery strategy, including adoption of REWIRE and Agentic AI tooling across the 2026–2028 Salesforce roadmap.
Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Own platform governance protocols including user access management, permission sets, profiles, inactive account monitoring, and org health standards.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to NERC compliance, utility‑sector regulatory standards, and audit‑ready documentation requirements.
  • Lead security architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and AppExchange product governance across Client's Salesforce orgs.
  • Establish release management protocols, change control governance, and technical debt reduction programs aligned with platform long‑term health.
Collaboration & Delivery Leadership
  • Partner with business, product, and IT leadership to translate complex requirements into scalable, compliant, and high‑impact Salesforce solutions with measurable business value.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to shape epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria—leveraging AI tooling to accelerate story creation by ~50% and reduce BA/QA effort by 40–60%.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Salesforce Tech Leads and developers across onshore and offshore delivery models, providing technical direction and removing delivery impediments.
  • Serve as the primary technical voice in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, architecture reviews, backlog grooming, and retrospectives—to drive engineering quality and delivery accountability.
  • Coordinate with QA leads to define test strategies, support SIT/UAT, and sustain defect counts below the 5% threshold across platform releases.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands‑on Salesforce experience with a minimum of 3 years in a Salesforce Architect capacity.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, platform events, and Salesforce platform internals.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise integration architecture using MuleSoft or equivalent middleware (REST/SOAP APIs, event‑driven architecture, middleware patterns).
  • Strong data engineering background including data modeling, ETL/ELT design, large‑scale migrations, and data quality governance.
  • Demonstrated daily use of Generative AI and Agentic AI tools in a software delivery context with measurable productivity outcomes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and multi‑org DevOps tooling.
  • Salesforce Architect certifications: Application Architect or System Architect (required); Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred.
  • Integration Architecture Designer and Data Architecture Designer certifications strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors with working knowledge of NERC compliance and audit requirements.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Agentforce, and Field Service Lightning.
  • Hands‑on experience with Windsurf, Devin, or similar Agentic AI coding and delivery platforms.
  • Knowledge of Documentum, Excalibur, or enterprise content management systems.
  • Background in multi‑vendor offshore/nearshore delivery models and vendor governance.
  • MuleSoft Certified Architect or Integration Professional certification.
  • Familiarity with GIS/ESRI integrations or geospatial data platforms in a utility context.
