Job summary

A leading technology consultancy in Austin is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to design and deliver complex Salesforce solutions. You will work closely with clients to align technical specifications with their strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of Salesforce development experience and a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles. This project-based role may require onsite presence at client locations, alongside offering flexible remote opportunities depending on project demands.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models and optimization techniques.
• Experience with APIs, web services, and integration patterns.
• Expertise in Salesforce APIs, integration patterns, and data modeling.
• Proficient in Apex, SOQL, SOSL and version control (Git).
• Experience with Gearset or Copado and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Qvest is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to play a key role in envisioning, designing, and delivering complex Salesforce solutions that align with our clients' strategic goals. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expertise on the Salesforce platform, best practices, and architectural patterns. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and guide the development team throughout the implementation process. Your deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, integrations, and security will ensure scalable, high‑performing solutions that meet our evolving needs.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development and architecture experience with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles and demonstrated experience with large‑scale Salesforce implementations
• Proven ability to lead technical design sessions
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models, governor limits, and performance optimization techniques
• Expertise in Salesforce APIs, web services, and integration patterns
• Expertise in data modeling, migration, and integration strategies. Proficient in Apex, SOQL, and SOSL.
• Experience with version control systems (i.e. Git)
• Experience with third‑party deployment tools (i.e. Gearset or Copado)
• Understanding of DevOps processes, continuous integration, and deployment best practices
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Expertise in Salesforce DX and CLI tools
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire development teams
• Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Outstanding problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Highly preferred

• Other relevant Salesforce certifications are a plus

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies
• Experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics or other analytics platforms integrated with Salesforce
• Experience with OmniStudio (Salesforce Industries or Vlocity)
• Experience with MuleSoft and/or similar ETL tools
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and front‑end development

Travel Requirements

Employees are responsible for traveling to and from client sites as required by their project or assignment, regardless of location. Travel may include sites outside the employee’s primary office location, state, or region.

Remote & Hybrid Work

While remote or hybrid work may be permitted for certain projects, client needs take precedence. Employees are expected to report onsite at the client location when required by the project scope, client request, or management directive.
