Job description

The Sales Variable Manager at Suburban Nissan of Farmington Hills is responsible for providing exceptional customer service throughout the deal process. This role involves helping customers select products that protect their vehicle purchase, coordinating the structure and finalization of sales, working with lenders to secure financing approval, and ensuring all vehicle purchase paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.

The Sales Variable Manager reports to the General Sales Manager or General Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales process effectively
  • Engage directly with customers and ensure sales staff do the same
  • Conduct daily lot walks to stay informed about vehicle pricing, inventory condition, advertising, and grounds
  • Develop sales staff through communication, performance monitoring, coaching, and mentoring
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing concerns efficiently
  • Assist sales representatives in closing vehicle sales
  • Monitor customer activity on the lot to ensure a positive buying experience
  • Track advertising sources by communicating with customers
  • Assist customers in choosing protection packages and explain their benefits
  • Coordinate with lenders to secure the best financing options for customers
  • Submit deals electronically using the dealer system
  • Accurately enter transactions into ADP and bank approval systems
  • Process all paperwork accurately, complying with DMV and lender requirements
  • Follow up on deal receivables and outstanding items to ensure proper collection and funding
  • Send courtesy reminders to customers for purchased products requiring action
  • Obtain necessary licensing within 90 days of hire
