Tarvos Talent is seeking a Sales & Use Tax Accountant for an exciting contract to hire opportunity in Downtown Houston. This approximately 3-month, fully in-office role offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative tax team while gaining valuable experience across a broad range of corporate tax functions.

As the Tax Accountant, you’ll support the preparation of U.S. and Canadian tax filings, coordinate timely tax payments, and assist with reconciliations, registrations, notices, and audits. You’ll also research tax questions, work with internal teams to gather information, and help ensure compliance with changing tax requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, prior Sales & Use Tax experience, and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage deadlines are essential, while experience with Thomson Reuters tax software is a plus.
