Job summary

Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance is seeking a full-time, commission-based Insurance Agent to join our county-based team across Georgia. You will sell and service farm, crop, auto, homeowners, commercial, life, medical, and dental policies while meeting quarterly sales and retention goals.

You will consult with clients on coverage needs, prospect new customers through community networking, and help grow our presence in local communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
• Must have passed Georgia Property/Casualty and Life/Health insurance exams.
• Actively pursuing licensure with the Georgia Department of Insurance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Self-motivated, community-minded, and eager to grow.

Responsibilities

• Sell and service a wide range of insurance products including farm, crop, auto, homeowners, commercial, life, medical, and dental, and meet quarterly sales and retention goals.
• Adhere to agency business plans and deliver high-quality service.
• Consult with clients to explain policies, analyze coverage needs, and recommend solutions.
• Prospect new customers and grow membership through community networking.
• Ensure policy documentation and service requirements are completed accurately.
• Inspect properties to assess risk and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote GFB and GFBMIC through local advertising and community involvement.
• Engage in continuous professional development and product training.
• Foster strong relationships between county offices and the home office.
