Are you passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals? If so, Modern Woodmen of America is hiring Sales Trainees from any of the following markets: St. Louis, MO, St. Paul, MN, Boise, ID, Portland, OR, Pittsburgh, PA or Las Vegas, NV. Sales

Trainees will undergo a structured training program which develops the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a financial representative role in their communities. You will gain hands-on experience in sales processes, account management, customer relationship management and team leadership.

Requirements:

  • Relocation to Rock Island, IL (Quad Cities area) is required for approximately twelve months.
  • At the end of the program you will move back to your local community to implement the foundational skills you learned to be successful in a financial representative role.
  • Obtain industry licenses: Life and Health License, FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 6, Series 63, Series 26. Modern Woodmen will cover the fees associated with obtaining industry licenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand Modern Woodmen products, sales process, systems and operations in preparation for a field sales role.
  • Support the internal sales team by learning and performing daily sales activities such as lead generation, cold calling and qualifying prospects.
  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Communicate effectively to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating sales records, reports and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance member experience.
  • Participate in workshops and training sessions to build skills in sales strategy, leadership and team management.
  • Shadow senior sales managers to gain insights into sales operations and team leadership.
  • Analyze metrics to measure individual and team performance.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and forecasts to track progress toward targets.
  • Take the initiative on projects and gradually assume more responsibility for managing accounts.

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or related field.
  • Ability to obtain Life and Health license.
  • Ability to obtain FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 6, Series 63, Series 26.
  • Strong customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

What we offer:

  • Pay: This position offers a competitive base salary of $40,000-$48,000 plus commission opportunities. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time onsite position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with a flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. On-site positions work at our Home Office in Rock Island, IL.
