Job summary

Bergstrom Cadillac of Madison is seeking a Sales Team Manager to lead the dealership's sales operations, drive the guest experience, and develop the sales team. You will own daily leadership, with hands-on involvement to uphold Bergstrom's standards and growth trajectory.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in auto retail, strong communication and active listening, and a willingness to support several dealership operations on a high-energy, fast-paced floor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in automotive sales or retail management.
• Proven ability to provide outstanding guest service and resolve concerns with professionalism.
• Upbeat personality with strong communication and active listening skills.
• Willingness to help in various dealership operations and build rapport with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Sales Advisors; participate in interviews and onboarding.
• Support Sales Process with trade appraisals, test drives, vehicle photos, and accurate entry of conditions and specs.
• Guide Advisors in processing financing applications and preparing paperwork for guest acceptance.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and review all deals to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve monthly/annual objectives (units, gross profit, expenses).
• Ensure lot appearance and security; maintain a professional, welcoming dealership environment.

This role combines leadership, hands-on involvement, and accountability to uphold Bergstrom's high standards.Leadership & Team Development:Participate in interviews, extend job offers, and manage onboarding.Train and develop Sales Advisors using our Negotiation Free Sales method and Single Point of Contact process to maintain consistency and professionalism.Support Sales Process:Assist Sales Advisors with trade appraisals, including test drives, vehicle photos, and accurate condition/specification entry.Guide Sales Advisors in processing financing applications and preparing financial paperwork for guest acceptance.Deliver Exceptional Guest Experience:Ensure all guests receive a seamless and outstanding sales experience.Review all sales deals prior to finalization and engage guests to ensure satisfaction.Operational Oversight:Collaborate with the General Manager to establish and achieve monthly and annual objectives, including unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits.Take responsibility for the appearance and security of the lot and dealership to create a professional, welcoming environment.Schedule: Monday-Thursday with shifts ranging 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sunday and a weekday off.
