CLA is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax practice. You will work with client and sales tax teams to resolve data issues and utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.

You will serve clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Healthcare, and may engage in tax research and special projects as needed. Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, 2+ years' experience, and CPA eligibility preferred.

CLA is currently seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior role:

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training on Avalara software
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve sales tax returns
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

What you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years' of relevant experience required
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred
• CPA eligible preferred

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in California is: $84,400.00 – $143,000.00 The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 – $124,000.00
