The primary function of the Sales Support Specialist is to support Sales Specialists across the District. This includes processing orders, establishing new accounts, resolving customer issues and complaints, and providing backup support to other roles within the Medical District. The role ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and safety standards, including OSHA, FDA, DOT, ISO, and Airgas regulations.

  • Provides support to Sales Specialists by processing orders, establishing new accounts, and resolving customer issues.
  • Opens new accounts and oversees the setup of new accounts by other departments.
  • Provides backup for Branch Administrators and branch support.
  • Conducts physical and internal audits.
  • Submits pricing for new customer accounts and works with the District Manager on price increases.
  • Works directly with customers on billing, cylinder balances, and credits.
  • Provides support with accounts receivable collections.
  • Supports the purchase order process for hardgood orders.
  • Supports branches in ordering resale cylinders, PPE, and other supplies.
  • Supports branches with monthly physical inventory research.
  • Supports branches with medical license and delivery blocks.
  • Supports the District Manager on special projects.
  • Provides training for administrators, branch managers, and new sales support specialists.
  • Protects the company's operation by keeping information confidential.
  • Supports District Managers and Sales Specialists to ensure customer excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Demonstrated ability as a highly motivated Sales Support Specialist.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized, ability to achieve goals, ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • 3+ years of strong Customer Service Skills.
  • 2 or 4 year degree in Business, Customer Relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Frequent travel throughout the Medical Sales District (up to 75%) required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write routine business reports and correspondence in English.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and safety data sheets in English.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
